Suzanne is the Scheme Manager; her principle role is in the overseeing of all operational aspects of our large international organisation monitoring quality within the setting of clinical healthcare services. As principal Scientific Officer for the Scheme, Suzanne leads on assessments and assisting laboratories requiring technical and scientific trouble-shooting; she also supervises and carries-out R&D projects, oversees the quality control of testing materials, and keeping the scheme up to date with advances in the fields of immunocytochemistry and advanced diagnostic techniques within cellular pathology.
She began her career by training in a routine diagnostic histopathology department, which allowed her to gain a sound knowledge of all basic histological skills. During this time she studied for, and successfully obtained, state registration and membership of the profession. Her previous work appointments have primarily been within the field of cellular pathology, in both the clinical diagnostic and research fields, with a particular interest in breast pathology and research. These positions have enabled Suzanne to gain extensive experience in a wide range of advanced cellular pathology and molecular pathology techniques.
