Module 1

General Pathology

This module offers three assessment runs per year with the assessment of two antigens at each run.

Module 2A

Breast Pathology (Hormonal Receptors – ER only)

This module offers three assessment runs per year with the assessment of ER at each run

Module 2B

Breast Pathology (Hormonal Receptors – ER and PR)

This module offers three assessment runs per year with the assessment of both ER and PgR at each run

Module 3

Breast Pathology HER2 IHC

This module offers three assessment runs per year with the assessment of HER2 at each run. This assessment is designed for those undertaking HER2 staining in the breast clinical setting.

Module 4

Lymphoid Pathology

This module offers three assessment runs per year with the assessment of two antigens at each run. The antigens chosen are tailored to be applicable to a specialist lymphoma diagnostic service.

Module 5

Neuropathology

This module offers three assessment runs per year with the assessment of two antigens at each run

Module 6

Cytopathology

This module offers three assessment runs per year with the assessment of two antigens at each run on cytospin or cell block preparations. Many of the antigens chosen will cross-over with the General Pathology module, but the UK NEQAS materials are of the type seen in the cytology department.

Module 7

Alimentary Tract Pathology – GIST

This module offers three assessment runs per year with the assessment of two antigens at each run.

CD117 is always the requested. The second antigen will be chosen from either: DOG-1 or CD34 or Desmin or S100.

Module 8

Gastric HER2 IHC

This module offers three assessment runs per year on samples of gastric cancer of varying HER2 membrane protein expression. This module is designed for those staining for HER2 in the gastric setting.

Module 9

HER2 ISH Interpretive & Technical

This module offers three assessment runs per year on cell lines and tissue samples of varying degrees of HER2 gene status.

Module 10

NSCLC ALK IHC

This module offers three assessment runs per year on cell lines and tissue samples of varying degrees of ALK expression.

Module 11

NSCLC PD-L1 IHC (Pilot)

This module offers three assessment runs per year on cell lines and tissue samples of varying degrees of PD-L1 expression.

Module 12

NSCLC ALK/ROS1 FISH (Pilot)

This module offers three assessment runs per year on cell lines and tissue samples of known ALK and ROS1 gene status.

Module 13

Mismatch Repair (MMR) Proteins

This module offers three assessment runs per year with the assessment of two paired antigens at each run. MLH1 & PMS2 OR MSH2 & MSH6 will be requested alternately.

Module 14

NSCLC ROS1 IHC (Pilot)

This module offers three assessment runs per year on cell lines of varying degrees of ROS1 expression.

Module 15

PD-L1 in TNBC (Pilot)

This module offers three assessment runs per year on breast cancer tissues and cell lines of varying degrees of PD-L1 expression.

Module 16

Ki-67 in Breast Cancer (Pilot)

This module offers three assessment runs per year on breast cancer tissues and cell lines of varying degrees of Ki-67 expression.

Module 17A

p16 in Head & Neck Pathology (Pilot)

This module offers three assessment runs per year on SCC Head & Neck tumours and cell lines of varying degrees of p16 expression.

Module 17B

HPV in Head & Neck Pathology (Pilot)

This module offers three assessment runs per year on SCC Head & Neck tumours and cell lines of varying degrees of high-risk HPV expression.

Module 24

Low-Level Expression of HER2 in Breast Cancer (Pilot)

This module offers three assessment runs per year. It is designed to test your ability to stain breast cancer specimens for low-level expression of HER2. Staining and interpretation are both assessed.
