Fitim joined the UK NEQAS ICC & ISH team in August 2022.

He is a state registered Biomedical Scientist with over 20 years’ experience in Cellular Pathology.

In addition to immunohistochemistry, his areas of expertise cover all aspects of routine histology, specimen dissection, and quality management.

Fitim has considerable experience within the area of Molecular Pathology, and has a particular interest in sarcoma. Fitim has also been involved in several research projects in this area.

As a Staff Scientist at UK NEQAS ICC & ISH, Fitim provides technical support to our participants. He is also involved in testing and quality control of material for assessments and scientific writing.

Fitim participates in many of our general and specialised assessments.
